There are two steeper drops leading to thirteen- to fifteen-foot-deep holes and fish inhabit the area due to the diverse food groups present within the various types of vegetation.

This general area of the lake is especially productive when there’s a southerly wind—southeast to southwest, and during strong north winds it offers manageable, perfect wave-action. And during the rainy season weather pattern the water’s visibility level declines due to a predominate east, southerly wind driving suspended solids into the area for several days, if not weeks.

As is usually the case in the Bass Fishing Capital of the World, this location is not a secret by any means—there are very few secret fishing holes which remain secret for very long. This is one hot spot which has a rich bass population. Bass spawn in huge numbers here and there’s enough deeper holes close to shallow feeding grounds to provide bass with a favorable environment year-round.

Hot Spot Angling Tactics: Fishing for bass in this area requires flipping, pitching, and short and long-distance casting. The following is what I have found to work very well in putting artificial baits which produce well, in front of the mighty Florida largemouth bass.
