Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast
Sunday's Full Fishing Forecast Article for August 11-18, 2024
Good Fishing Monday and Next Weekend
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the second full week of August gives anglers the first quarter moon phase at the beginning of the week and the beginning of the full moon phase at the end of the week and of course a rainy season weather forecast which might result in being true, maybe.
Solar-Lunar Factor: Solar noon occurs at 1:30 p.m. over the next four days. The moon was at the orbit apogee two days ago and is currently heading back toward the orbit perigee which will occur in ten days. The first quarter moon occurs Monday and the moon arrives at the low position in the solar energy path on Thursday and Friday the full moon seven-day phase begins.
Therefore, anglers can expect a weak first quarter moon that will produce a slight uptick in feeding activity during the sunset hours this evening and Monday evening, and when the full moon phase begins Friday the feed rating will improve about a half a point per day culminating at a seven or slightly better feed rating next Monday. Next weekend anglers will experience the second-best fishing days of the month.
