New Moon and Ideal Water Temperatures Makes for Good Fishing
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the last two days of October and the beginning of November gives anglers a moderate to weak new moon phase and a fall weather forecast.
All fishing factors considered; anglers will have a continuation of a consistent medium to strong east wind producing speeds in the fifteen to twenty mph range during the afternoon prime fishing hours. And bright sunshine with no pressure change, which will cause fish to remain close to cover as they continue to move west southwest ward as they follow the wind-driven food-chain.
I do believe the first half of the seven-day new moon phase will be better than the second half due to a weakening lunar effect due to the lunar low occurring four days after the new moon on Friday. However, fish will be feeding at a much higher rate than they were a month ago due to ideal water temperatures holding enough dissolved oxygen to produce normal to high digestion rates. And fish will be actively feeding in the shoreline feeding areas when they need to feed.
A new moon during ideal water temperatures always results in a good day of fishing.
