Fishing Prior to Thunderstorm Activity is the Best Strategy

The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of August 3, 2025, gives anglers a weak lunar effect and a rainy season weather forecast which predicts daily thunderstorm activity. If the weather forecast results in being true, we can expect bright sunshine during the morning and early afternoon hours followed by thunderstorm development across the heartland.

All fishing factors considered, the moon will not be much help this week due to the lunar orbit apogee occurring two days ago and the lunar low occurring Monday. Fish will primarily be feeding when oxygen production is at its highest rate for the day.
