Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March 16-23, 2025
Sunday's Complete Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Good Fishing Before and After the Cold Front.
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of March 16-23, 2025, gives anglers the last two days of a weak full moon phase and a typical late winter, early spring weather forecast.
All fishing factors considered, anglers will experience above average fishing today and Monday due to the full moon occurring two days ago. The daily underfoot period is currently happening during the warmest water temperature period of the day which will produce the highest feed rating of the day.
Pre-front conditions occurred yesterday but should continue today during the morning. Monday through Wednesday feeding activity will slow down significantly as another cold front drops temperatures twenty-plus degrees. During the second half of the week fish will normalize and begin to feed at normal rates during both the sunset and sunrise periods.
Fifteen to twenty mph winds are forecasted for today, Monday, and Thursday, otherwise ideal wind speeds and bright sunshine with plenty of atmospheric pressure change will produce plenty of fish adjustment activity on a daily basis. And with the current strong cold front dominating the first half of the week, fish will be feeding when water temperatures are warmest instead of during daily lunar periods, which will be very weak over the next seven to ten days.
