Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for September 22-30, 2024
Sunday's Complete Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Good Last Quarter Moon Fishing Next Four Days
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the fourth week of September gives anglers a strong last quarter moon phase and a rainy season weather forecast which doesn’t predict much thunderstorm and rain activity until the second half of the week.
All fishing factors considered; anglers will experience some heat relief this week if the weather predictions come true. Wind speeds are forecasted to daily climb to twelve and fifteen mph starting Monday and come from an easterly direction. And bright sunshine will prevail until the second half of the week when a low-pressure system enters the state and cloud cover prevails.
And the good news continues for anglers because the lunar high occurs the day after the last quarter moon on Tuesday. Anglers can expect very good fishing during the sunrise and sunset periods. But most of the activity will occur in the deeper feeding areas because water temperatures remain too high in most bodies of water for adequate oxygen rates to enable fish to feed normally. So, target the deeper healthy vegetation area where cooler temperatures hold enough oxygen.
