Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March May 11-18, 2025
Sunday's Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Full Moon Fishing Next Three Days Then Fish Adjust for the Rainy Season
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of May 11-18, 2025, gives anglers a weak to moderate strength full moon phase and a rainy season weather pattern which won’t produce much thunderstorm activity during the second half of the week. However much needed rainfall will occur today through Tuesday.
All fishing factors considered, cooler temperatures today and Monday combined with the rainfall and heavy cloud will cause fish to become active and moving away from cover, feeding primarily during the underfoot midday lunar period.
The second half of the week temperatures climb fifteen degrees, and the moon arrives at its weakest monthly position, which means daily feeding activity becomes sporadic and unpredictable. Less fish will feed at the same time and when they do feed it won’t be nearly as long as they will be feeding today through Tuesday during the midday solunar period.
Wednesday through next Sunday bright sunshine will prevail and fish will hold tight to protective cover. And ideal wind speeds of eight-to-ten mph will come from the west-southwest Tuesday through next weekend, which is rare this time of year. So, expect fish to reverse their course of travel and head back east and northeast.
