The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the second half of the first week of August gives anglers the last day of the new moon seven-day phase and a post tropical storm weather forecast predicting bright sunshine with the usual afternoon thunderstorm activity with wind speeds gradually returning to normal season speeds under ten mph by the weekend.
All fishing factors considered, anglers will experience the positive effects of the recent strong new moon today, mostly when the moon is overhead and bright sunshine prevails in the afternoon. Pressure rise beginning Thursday evening will cause fish to adjust upward for thirty-six hours so expect feed ratings to improve during the daily lunar periods.
