Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March July 27-August 3, 2025
Sunday's Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Fishing After Bright Sunshine Periods Produces Success
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of July 27, 2025, gives anglers the last day of a strong new moon phase and a rainy season weather forecast which predicts bright sunshine dominating for the first four days of the week and thunderstorm activity and increased cloud cover for the last three days of the week.
All fishing factors considered, anglers’ best fishing will occur after bright sunshine dominates today through Thursday which will have very little thunderstorm activity and rainfall. Fish will feed after several hours of bright sunshine when photosynthesis peaks during the midday to late afternoon hours. Wind speeds will be ideal today from the east but a mild five mph southerly wind is predicted for the remainder of the week.
Lunar periods will be steadily weakening over the next ten days, which means fish will be mostly influenced by oxygen production periods. Water temperatures have reached the annual high mark which means when the fish can breathe best and digestion becomes somewhat close to normal, it will feed, most likely at deeper depths where cooler oxygenate water occurs naturally.
