Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for January 12-19, 2024
Sunday's Complete Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Good full Moon Fishing Next Three Days
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of January 12-19, 2025, gives anglers the full moon phase and a winter weather forecast. All fishing factors considered; anglers will do best to continue to concentrate their efforts during the warmest water period of the day which also happens to be when the underfoot moon occurs.
However, Friday through next weekend a warming trend will begin which will improve daily feed rates even though the moon’s effect will be weak. If the extended weather forecast results in being true, water temps will significantly improve feeding activity from twelve noon through the midafternoon hours beginning next weekend.
It is a fact that during the Florida winter season, when high pressure cold front prevails, that fish feed mostly when their bodies are most active, which is regulated by temperature. So even if the lunar influence is weak, several days of a warm southerly wind will enable fish to return to normal feeding activity if that warming trend continues for four or five days. Such a condition is predicted for the third week of this month.
