Florida’s Fall Season Weather Produces Good Fishing

The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of November 9, 2025, gives anglers a strong lunar effect and a waning last quarter moon phase which occurs Tuesday. Therefore, anglers can expect good sunset fishing during the first half of the week and good sunrise fishing during the second half of the week.

The weather forecast predicts a high-pressure cold front for Monday. Atmospheric pressure will rise 0.42 in hg from Monday morning to Tuesday morning. Fish will be forced upward to maintain normal digestion function, and I predict they will feed as they adjust upward.

Wind speeds during this twenty-four-hour period will be in the fifteen to twenty mph range from the northwest on Monday but will decrease to an ideal fishing wind speed of ten to twelve mph Tuesday. For the second half of the week winds will be mild from the north but will come out of the east by next weekend.

Bright sunshine with few clouds will enhance daily fish adjustment activity for the next three days but bright sunshine will dominate the second half of the week causing fish to remain tight to protective cover.

Water temperatures are in the ideal feeding range of seventy to eighty-two degree. Fish will be feeding at will and gain about half of their annual weight gain until water temperatures decline into the mid to upper sixty-degree range. Aggressive feeding will be occurring until that temperature decline occurs.

Fish will feed aggressively during the fall season no matter what the lunar influence is. But the greater the lunar influence the greater the numbers of feeder and the greater the feeding duration.
