Excellent Super New Moon Fishing Next Four Days
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of April 27, 2025, gives anglers the last four days of a seven-day super new moon phase, and a typical late spring, early summer, weather pattern consisting of an ideal fishing wind from the east today through Thursday, followed by a low pressure system which will produce a daily counterclockwise ninety-degree wind direction change Friday through next Monday.
All fishing factors considered, bright sunshine, ideal wind speeds in the ten to thirteen mph range from the east, will keep fish tight to protective cover until pre-front conditions occur late Thursday when a southerly wind begins and continues through Friday producing wind speeds in the eight-mph range.
Next weekend begins with an ideal west wind followed by a north wind on Sunday. Next Monday an ideal east wind pattern begins again.
Atmospheric pressure change will not be a factor with the exception of a low pressures system arriving late Thursday and Friday morning. A 0.12 in hg pressure drop is forecasted which should cause minor fish adjustment activity downward for twelve hours beginning late Thursday night and continuing the Friday midmorning. And some cloud cover and rainfall could occur causing fish to move away from cover Friday through next weekend as they adjust downward to a minor pressure change—the more a fish successfully feeds the more adjustment they’ll need.
