Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March 9-16, 2025
Sunday's Complete Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Pre-Front Conditions Today, Full Moon on Friday, Produces Good Fishing
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of March 9-16, 2025, Central Florida anglers will have a strong last quarter moon phase for the first half of the week and a medium strength full moon phase for the second half of the week. And a typical late winter season weather forecast will provide plenty of ‘fish adjustment activity’ to elevate the need to feed which will improve the odds of catching fish.
All fishing factors considered; fish will be biting today at above-average rates due to the pre-front conditions created by the approaching high pressure cold front predicted to enter the state Monday. But weather conditions will greatly improve as the full moon begins to take affect Wednesday through next Sunday—full moon occurs Friday night.
Anglers can expect very good pre-front fishing today and excellent full moon fishing Thursday through Saturday. Weather conditions in both cases will be ideal.
