Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March June 15-22, 2025
Sunday's Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Fishing Deep Grass Beds is the Best Strategy During Rainy Season
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of June 15, 2025, gives anglers the last quarter moon phase and a rainy season weather forecast with very little to no rain predicted for the first half of the week, but afternoon thunderstorm activity is predicted for Friday and next weekend.
All fishing factors considered, anglers will have the best success fishing during the underfoot moon period during the midafternoon. There will be an even mix of sun and clouds, but enough sunshine to cause a high level of photosynthesis and oxygen production, and wind speeds will climb into the seven to nine mph range. However, water temperatures will rise a few degrees this week causing fish to move deeper as oxygen levels in the shallow areas decline.
Fishing deeper lakes with healthy thriving grass beds in open water areas I have found is the best rainy season fishing strategy. Time to fan cast drop-shot and Carolina riggings at depths in the eighteen-foot range.
