Fishing Will Improve During the Week as Lunar Influence Increases.
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of August 10, 2025, gives anglers the last two days of a weak full moon phase and a rainy season forecast. All fishing factors considered, dissolved oxygen production—photosynthesis, is predicted to occur at levels high enough to produce better-than-average fishing Monday through next weekend during the late morning to early afternoon hours.
Anglers can expect fish to bite best during the oxygen production hours of the day instead of the daily lunar periods until the second half of the week when the lunar influence will improve as the lunar orbit perigee occurs and the moon moves closer to the solar energy path—lunar high occurs August 18.
During the Florida rainy season, the best fishing days almost always occur when there’s a strong lunar influence during the oxygen production hours of the day, which occurs after several hours of bright sunshine. August 20-26 this solunar-weather combined influence will be strongest, producing an eight rating when bright sunshine occurs during the overhead lunar period.
