Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for March April 13-20, 2025
Sunday's Comprehensive Fishing Article for Florida's Freshwater Anglers
Good Full Moon Fishing Next Three Days, Then Weak Moon Following Seven Days
The Florida Freshwater Fishing Forecast for the week of April 13-20, 2025, gives anglers the second half of the full moon seven-day phase and a typical late spring weather forecast that will produce ideal temperatures and factors which produce plenty of fish adjustment activity albeit during the weak lunar influence period of the month.
All fishing factors considered, even though a weak lunar influence will begin Wednesday and last for ten days, today through Tuesday a moderate to weak full moon will produce above average fish feeding activity during the underfoot early afternoon period. The second half of the week however anglers will have to work for it as daily feeding number and duration diminish.
The good news is the full moon will shine brightly for the midnight full moon anglers over the next three nights which is bad news for the daytime anglers because there will be less hungry fish feeding twelve hours after the full moon feeding activity. Still, all in all, the midday bite will be above average and productive if you know where fish hold this time of year.
Water temperatures are currently in the lower part of the ideal water temperature range and rising daily, which means fish will be feeding at their highest annual rates until temperatures climb into the mid to upper eighty-degree range in late June. Mid-April through mid-June offers the best fishing conditions of the year.
Time to go fishing, before the weak lunar influence negatively effects fishing which I predict will begin Thursday and last for the proceeding ten days.
